Meet Stephanie Bennett
Steph is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and member of Dietitians Australia. She completed a Bachelor of Dietetics (Honours) at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She spent time working in Private Practice in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, before moving back to her hometown of Toowoomba to work at The Queensland Centre for Digestive Medicine in early 2021.
Steph enjoys working with a range of clients, although has a particular interest in the following conditionings:
- Gastrointestinal and digestive concerns, including gastroparesis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, other functional gut issues, IBD (Crohn’s Disease / Ulcerative Colitis), Coeliac Disease, Liver disease
- Malabsorption Disorders (e.g. Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency)
- Nutrition in oncology / cancer
- Enteral feeding including nasogastric and PEG feeding
- Malnutrition support
- Food intolerance and allergy
- Disordered eating and eating disorders (Steph is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician)
Steph is committed to on-going learning and is always updating her knowledge through on-going training and research. She believes nutrition is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach and ensures that all advice is tailored to each individuals circumstances. She has an appreciation of good food and values a holistic approach to nutrition care, which includes the environmental, mental, social, physiological, and emotional aspects of food and nutrition.

She spent 10 years prior and during her studies working on a sunflower farm.
She is not a fussy eater but thinks coriander tastes like soap.
She loves trying new things, whether that’s a new restaurant, travel destination or netflix show
Meet Hannah Slattery
Hannah is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia. Hannah trained at the Queensland University of Technology, and completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics)(Hons) in 2011.
Upon completion of her studies, Hannah moved to Tooowomba to take up a full-time position with The Queensland Centre for Digestive Medicine in 2012. Hannah enjoys all areas of dietetics, but is particularly interested in bariatric surgery, gastrointestinal disorders/diseases, gut health and intolerances. Hannah has completed additional training via the DAA Centre for Advanced Learning in Medical Nutrition Therapy for Bariatric Surgery (2018). Hannah enjoys working with her patients to set realistic goals, enabling long-term dietary changes to be made to ensure better health outcomes. Other courses/training that Hannah has completed include: Science of Weight Management (via Nutrition Plus)(2013), Advanced Science of Weight Management (via Nutrition Plus)(2014), Optifast Accreditation Program (2016), Monash University FODMAP Health Professional Training (2017).
Hannah currently works on Wednesday’s and Friday’s.
